Offering of Thanks to Deities for the Blessings of the Year (Chau San 酬神)
As we prepare for Chinese New Year, participants gathered together to chant the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sutra to express their gratitude to all the deities for the blessings we have received over the past year.

Participants of Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism gathered to chant the Three Seasons Scripture to commemorate the Festival of the Lord of the Third Season, also known as the Lord of the Water Realm.

Wong Ling Goon Festival
As a powerful deity, Wong Ling Goon used the teachings to transform himself so that his strength would protect the path of Taoism. Today Fung Loy Kok participants from around the world chanted to celebrate Wong Ling Goon, the Guardian of the Tao.
Goon Yam Festival
Today Fung Loy Kok participants from around the world chanted to celebrate and be inspired by Goon Yam (Guanyin), the bodhisattva of compassion. Our intention is to bring greater peace and harmony to the world.

Tin Hau Festival
Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism celebrates the Festival of Tin Hau (Empress of Heaven) today with chanting for the world. Tin Hau represents devotion, sincerity, care and protection and is known for rescuing people in distress, especially those at sea. She is particularly venerated in the coastal areas of China and by Chinese communities worldwide.

Lord Lao Festival
Yesterday people of all ages from around the world gather to celebrate the Festival of Lord Lao (Laozi, Lao-Tzu). In coming together to chant for the world and give thanks for the teachings of Taoism, we all benefit from the opportunity it offers to transform ourselves to become better people.
Borrowing from the Vault of Goon Yam
On the 26th day of the first lunar month (Feb 16), Goon Yam opened her vault for all to borrow blessings with promise to repay by the end of the year. Visitors to the temple paid their respects and set their intention for a year full of brightness and prosperity!
