The Dragon's Head Blog: Etobicoke Location hosts Feed the Homeless Classes, December 10th, 2017
On Sunday December 10th many participants from numerous Toronto Branch Locations gathered at the Etobicoke club for three Feed the Homeless morning classes, taught by Etobicoke continuing instructors.
During the afternoon, the Toronto Instructor Committee represented by Barb Taylor, Catherine Ip and Leigh Frazer, led the Instructor Training session. We began with a set, worked on foundations, discussed methods of presenting corrections and met in small groups to discuss how best to communicate about Master Moy, our Society’s origins and culture to new participants with a focus in geographic areas where we conduct classes in rental facilities without visual graphics and pictures.
We were honoured that FLK Director Susan Lundy was present, Susan shared a story about Master Moy and his three criteria for new beginner participants to keep in mind while learning the set: patience, endurance and to have a good heart.
The day ended with a set and we all left looking forward to attending the December 13th Intensive at Cooksville United Church.
