The Dragon's Head Blog: Temple popular with visitors
Many visitors from across Toronto are visiting Wong Dai Sin Temple, including people from the Markham neighbourhood who watched the temple being built and are happy to now see inside it.
The Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism temple, with its beautiful, serene interior space and striking exterior cantilever, is taking part in Doors Open Markham – an annual community-wide event that showcases Markham’s places of historical and cultural interest.
Many positive comments are being made about the temple, which won the Governor General’s Award for Architecture, and much interest shown in Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi and the benefits it brings. People are also asking questions about visiting the International Centre after seeing photographs displayed of the temples, buildings and grounds there.
